by Siretona Books & Merch Sale!$299.00 $499.00
Get a professional assessment for your book and receive direction for publishing.
- Provide you with direction for doing your own pre-editing and development on your book.
- Give you a taste of what it might be like to work with an editor.
- Offer you insight into what to look for in an editor and/or a publisher.
Have you written a book? Are you still working on one?
Are you wondering how to know if it’s good
—or how to make it good?
Every book benefits from another set of eyes.
With your Book Assessment, one of our editors will evaluate a portion of your manuscript for quality and readiness for publishing. This is also known as an Editorial Assessment or Editorial Review.
The portion chosen is usually the first one or two chapters or up to 4000 words.
Note that a Book Assessment is not a complete edit. Your Book Assessment will do three important things for you:
Your assessment editor will look for basic copyediting (like spelling, grammar, punctuation) and big picture development (like organization and themes). In fiction, we might comment on characters and plot. Your assessment editor will send you one or two pages of notes with suggestions plus 2-5 pages of sample copyediting.
